ELECTRIC POWERED MOTORS
Quite often electric power is used to power model boats, aircraft, cars. Recently electric power has become much more popular in model aircraft, largely because of more and more people becoming park flyers as well as the invention of technology such as brushless motors and lithium polymer batteries. These mean electric motors can manufacture vastly more power, which is even greater than fuel powered engines.
It is fairly straightforward to improve the torque of an electric motor whilst loosing some speed but this is not so regularly achieved with a fuel engine. This allows a bigger diameter propeller, which is more efficient and gives more thrust at lesser speeds.
In trucks, cars and boats, gas and glow engines are even now being used although electric power has been the most widely used source of power for a number of years.
